Terms for using this website.

Last updated: 2026-07-03

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Auto Alpha Security website at autoalpha-sec.com (the “Site”), operated by Auto Alpha Advisory, a South African firm. Auto Alpha Security is its web-security practice. By using the Site you agree to these Terms.

1. What this Site is

The Site is an information and enquiry site. It describes our Deep Scan web-security assessment service and lets you request a scan. The Site itself does not perform any security scan, and submitting the request form does not start one.

2. Scan requests are enquiries, not orders

Submitting the “Request a scan” form is a request for us to contact you. It does not create a contract, oblige us to provide any service, or authorise any testing of any system. We will follow up to discuss and scope your request.

3. Engagements are governed by a separate written agreement

Any scan we perform is delivered only under a separate written engagement agreement and scan authorization, signed before work begins. That agreement — not this website — sets out the scope, fees, deliverables, and terms of the work. Pricing shown on the Site is indicative; the fee for a given engagement is confirmed in writing after scoping.

No unauthorised testing. We only test a target where the client has proven ownership or control of it and has given written authorization. Requesting a scan for a system you do not own or control, or without authority to authorise testing of it, is prohibited.

4. Acceptable use of the Site

  • Do not use the Site unlawfully, or to submit false, misleading, or third-party information without authority.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the Site or its infrastructure.
  • Do not scrape, republish, or reuse Site content except as permitted below.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including the sample report, text, and branding, is owned by Auto Alpha Advisory or its licensors and is provided for your information only. The sample report is a redacted illustration run against a safe test target; it may not be represented as an assessment of any other system.

6. No warranty on Site content

The Site and its content (including indicative pricing and the sample report) are provided “as is” for general information. We make no warranty that the content is complete, current, or error-free, and it does not constitute security, legal, or compliance advice. Statements about our service — including “zero false positives” — describe the Confirmed tier of an actual engagement and are qualified by the scope and limitations set out in each engagement report; they are not a guarantee of the security of any system.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Auto Alpha Advisory is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. Liability for any engagement is governed exclusively by the engagement agreement for that work.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal information you submit through the Site is described in our Privacy Policy and POPIA notice.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Western Cape High Court, Cape Town.
